Before presiding over the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Family and Probate Court, Judge Lawrence Army was a partner with Army & Army, LLC, a partner and co-owner of Army & Lee, PC, and managing partner at Army & Roche. From 2021 to 2025, Judge Lawrence Army presided over 1,000-plus divorce, custody, guardianship, and estate-related matters in the family and probate court.

The former judge’s accomplishments include authoring decisions that set legal precedent in family and probate law. Mr. Army also implemented innovative settlement conference procedures that improved the pretrial resolution rate. He also conducted judicial education seminars for bar associations and state agencies.

After retiring from the bench in 2025, Mr. Army founded Concili8, LLC, a firm that offers alternative dispute resolution to its clients. This role involves settling matters in high-stakes family and probate cases. He provides neutral case evaluations and expert consultation on complex domestic relations matters.

Beyond overseeing Concili8, Mr. Army has expertise in complex custody disputes, international relocation, domestic violence, alimony, and prenuptial agreements. His probate experience includes estate administration, guardianship, conservatorships, will contests, trust litigation, and alternative dispute resolution.

Mr. Army holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Seton Hall University and a law degree from Suffolk University Law School. He is also a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
